Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber (EPDM) polymers are fully saturated, non-polar hydrocarbon based elastomers which offer:

  • High chemical resistance
  • Long life in chlorine, chloramine, hot water and steam
  • Suitability for contact with alkaline cleaning fluids
  • Enhanced chemical and thermal stability
  • Compliance to a variety of sanitary and potable water standards and approvals (FDA, NSF, KTW, WRAS, etc.)


Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber (NBR) is a good choice for applications where seals will not be exposed to harsh cleaning regimes, ozone or superheated steam. These materials offer:

  • Good mechanical properties
  • Good resistance to hydrocarbons of high aromatic content and water
  • Compliant to FDA and 3-A standards

Silicone (VMQ)

Silicone is an extremely versatile material that lends itself to a broad range of application conditions. As a liquid raw material, silicone offers advantages in processing that render it a premier choice of material for technical components where long-term consistency of precision, quality and performance is key. A next generation of low volatile liquid silicone rubber (LSR) materials is bringing exciting, new advantages in processing and application capabilities.

Other characteristics are:

  • Good chemical resistance in a wide range of media
  • Excellent heat resistance, dielectric strength and cold flexibility
  • Neutral in taste and odor
  • Good electrical and mechanical dampening properties
  • Excellent weather and UV resistance, hydrophobic
  • Sterilizable: γ-radiation, steam, EtO
  • Biocompatibility – non-allergenic
  • Approvals and compliances to WRAS, KTW, NSF and more.

We offer extensive silicone processing, including extrusion, injection, transfer or compression molding and sheeting, as well as state-of-the-art LSR injection molding, with cleanrooms to meet special cleanliness demands.


The performance of our Fluoroelastomer (FKM) material range has been optimized to meet the specific criteria of the potable and sanitary water industries.

  • Very good chemical compatibility and resistance
  • Low total organic carbon and metal extractables
  • Low long-term compression set characteristics
  • Material compliant to FDA, 3-A and USP standards

Turcon® MF

The Turcon® MF range has been formulated to meet the demands of the potable water and sanitary industry. These compounds, which are manufactured from high-purity PTFE grades and additives, offer:

  • Excellent friction and self-lubricating characteristics
  • Smooth finish, low porosity, and virtually no risk of contamination buildup
  • Compatible with almost all chemicals; suitable for use with aggressive media including CIP and SIP regimes
  • Operates in extreme temperatures from -253°C/ -423°F to 260°C / 500°F
  • Compliant with FDA, KTW, WRAS, W270 standards


Zurcon® grades such as Z80 and Z81 are specially formulated for use in water and sanitary applications. They are ideal for reciprocating, slow rotating and oscillating situations where high wear resistance is required. Other characteristics are:

  • Excellent friction characteristics and high wear resistance
  • Operating temperatures from -196 °C to +80 °C / -321 °F to +176 °F
  • Compatible with water-based and alkaline cleaning agents, steam cycles below +115 °C / +239 °F
  • Low compression set
  • FDA compliant
